Tourist Places to Visit in Nubra Valley

The breathtaking Nubra Valley’s major attraction is its large cold desert near Hunder Village. Panamik village is located around 140 km from Leh, nestled close to the Siachen Glacier, and is famous for the hot sulphur springs. These hot springs are located 10,442 feet above sea-level and believed to have medicinal properties. Travellers need to obtain a permit to reach Panamik in Nubra Valley.

Yarab Tso Lake

Yarab Tso Lake is a famous tourist attraction in Nubra Valley, located almost 15 kilometers from Diskit near to Simur village. Although you have to hike for 20 minutes approx. to reach the lake, the picturesque scenery that awaits you there is completely worth it.

Bactrian Camel Safari

Nubra Valley is known for its marvellous sand dunes and there is nothing better than having a camel ride amidst those magnificent dunes. What makes this even more distinctive is that these camels are unusual than ones that roam the desert of Rajasthan. These are bactrian camels which have two humps.

Khardung La Pass
